The Geneva Motor Show (GIMS) returned in 2024 after a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The event was smaller and more focused than usual, with a strong emphasis on electric vehicles.

Highlights of the Show

Electric Cars Take Center Stage

Electric vehicles were the dominant force at GIMS 2024. BYD, the world's leading manufacturer of electric vehicles, unveiled several new models, including the BYD Seal and BYD Atto 3. Dacia, a brand known for its affordable cars, presented its first electric vehicle, the Dacia Spring Electric. MG also showcased its electric lineup, including the MG ZS EV and MG5 Electric.

Despite the smaller scale of the event, GIMS 2024 was a success, demonstrating the resilience of the automotive industry and the growing interest in electric vehicles.
