Anzac Day Route Sydney 2023

ANZAC Day Commemorations Across Sydney

Dawn Service Honors Fallen Heroes

Commemorative services took place across Sydney on ANZAC Day, with the main Dawn Service held in Martin Place. The service began at dawn, with a crowd of thousands gathering to remember the sacrifices of Australian and New Zealand troops during the First World War.

ANZAC Day March Marks Traditional Route

Later in the morning, the ANZAC Day March began at 9am at the intersection of Elizabeth Street and Martin Place. The march made its way through the city, finishing at Liverpool Street. Thousands of people lined the streets to watch the march, which included veterans, serving members of the Australian and New Zealand armed forces, and representatives from community groups.

The ANZAC Day Commemorations provide an opportunity for Australians to reflect on the sacrifices of those who have served our country. The services and march are a reminder of the importance of remembrance and the values of courage, mateship, and sacrifice.
